Ok. You old-timers will remember it took me almost 2 years to learn how to post photos. Since then, the world has not been the same. Many thanks to all of you who patiently taught (and ribbed) me until I became (for a short time anyway) the non-undisputed king of photo-posting, a title I take very seriously.
Now I call upon the gurus who have mastered the New and Improved PB for help in regaining my title so I can once again rule with my Fuji digital scepter. As you know, for some reason, Photobucket seems to have undergone some changes and, for the life o' me, I can't figure out how to post photos. I will admit that I have not tried very hard because of the flashbacks from my first round with Photobucket.
Thanks in advance...and I'll accept all ribbing that I deserve!

Hey Bob

Just got my 16 yesterday! Older boat, but sound and in decent shape.

Here is a shot about the photobucket.
1 Post your pics in photobucket.
2 Copy the image code of a selected photo   (this is the http address)
3 Make your Draft in CPYO
4 Click the Insert Image button
5 Paste the address from photobucket between the (img) that will appear
6 Here is where you may be stuck....Delete the(IMG) from the beginning and end of the address you just pasted.
7 Click preview

I will attempt it now with the page from photobucket that displays the image code location.  Note where  it says IMG code and see the IMG right before the http.  Delete this and its brackets from beginning and end of address.    Simple...........

PS.  Is it Bob as in Robert, or bob as in never any wind?

You know? I always thought it was as in Robert,  But now that you mention it.....

Why the whole page? For just the photo From Photobucket, copy and paste the DIRECT CODE between the;  [ img ] paste here [ img ]<--Looks like this minus a few added spaces I put in.

You'll notice it too starts with http:// and ends .jpg and it says Direct Code.

And I usually, after high lighting, click on the Center icon above and color choice.

The problem is, now that Photobucket has hooked up with facebook, Photobucket doesn't work all that well. Photobucket locks up and stops working. It's got something to do with Windows 7 and not using Goggle's CHROME or what ever they call it.

skip.

Reef rigged for heavy air. Comfort & Joy tied to new dock.

Looking away from the Bay of Green Bay, flying over the 'cut' between the Bay and Lake Michigan

From 2000 foot, here is the old dock with Wind Rover and Whistling Swan tied up.
My new dock for Comfort & Joy has not yet been set yet.
The new Sun Cat docks across the lagoon where the 16 foot sail boat down range is now.

End of the lagoon, where Peanut Butter docks. L to R, second house is the Sun Cat house. Far right is the 'Salvick~Londo' tug house

Simple  ???

I wish we could just copy and paste?

That's about all this old brain can handle

Thanks, gents. Yes, the new PB runs incredibly slow. I thought it was just my Flintstone-era computer but at least that's not the entire problem. I'll mess with this and explore Flickr. Thanks again,

This may not be incredibly helpful, but the changes and speed problems are limited to the PC (web browser) version. Photobucket's iPad/iPhone app is free, fast, and so much easier to use. A really excellent app, and it makes sharing photos between your Apple and PC devices pretty simple.

For someone like me who came from the rotary phone era, it's challenging. I'm sure I can figure it out. Too bad PB had to "improve" something that worked fine. Thanks to all you guys.

Bob,
Did you try to get back to the old version?  The new version wasn't working for me so I switched it back.

OK how did you do that? I just hate all that 'picture space' that these ads take up. I'm not interested in buying anything.

skip. Thanks.

There is a VERY tiny bit of blue text in the upper right section of the PB page that says "Switch back to the original Photobucket".   Click on that text and it will ask you why...choose a reason from their selection and then it goes back.
See the yellow arrow in my pic.  Give it a try......

Wow guys, thanks! I didn't realize I could switch back. I just tried it and it's good old old fashioned Photobucket once again! Thank you! Now I can regain my title as Photo Posting Czar of the Universe! Mwooohahahaha!
