jib downhaul and halyard routed to cockpit

Photo of how I went at this.  It has functioned well this whole season.  I run the halyard through the blocks that are empty in the photo below.  Green flecked halyard, red flecked downhaul.  Green means go!

That looks very clean without any rubbing on anything. When I installed mine I didn't want to run it across the "side decks" (not that there is much you could call side decks), so I ran it more straight back and over the cabin trunk hump in the front. Not the easiest to see, but it is the thin white line running from the bow aft on the deck. However, it did rub a little on my deck organizer, and I ran it through fairleads instead of blocks so there was more friction when lowering (but cheaper to install). I love the roller furling on my CP23, but a well designed downhaul is nearly as good.

I like the look of your teak.  What do you use?  It looks like it might be just teak oil?
