So a couple of weeks ago this gentleman sees our 19 in the drive and "has to stop".  We talk and I find that he also sails, motorcycle tours, and dives.  Yesterday we went out on Lake Michigan and watched the start of the Mac race.
VERY slow. Hardly any wind at all.  Once the last boats were through the gate, the wind picks up and I take the tiller of this old, but cared for 29'r.  The sailing was great, the company was great, and the day went well.  Afterwards we go to the Columbia Yacht Club (a salvaged and very well refurbished ship) for beers.  Looking down on the harbor, I spot  a Compac 23!

Her name is Little Surprise out of Annapolis, Md.  Anyone from here?

My new friends have invited me to go this Monday on a 36'r.  Then this October to the BVIs for 7 days of cruising.

They are also planning a couples cruise for next year to the San Juan Islands.

Looks like I'll be working a LOT of O.T.!
