Anyone have information on the Texas 200 2013?

I haven't heard of this event, is this off the cost of Texas?

Depending on where and when it is, I might try to make it, just depends on how far it is from Southern Calif. and the price of gas at that time!

Wow,

I just read an article on this from "Ducksworth" ?

This is a big deal! Lots of smaller boats participate in this. I don't know if my Eclipse could sail in the shallow waters (many of the boats bottom out in two feet of water) of this event.

Really interesting to read about this event.

You'll find coverage of the T-200 in Small Craft Advisor and possibly Messing About in Boats.

This is the official site http\\www.texas200.com

The group also puts on the Florida 120.

I've read that previous Texas 200 events start and finish in two separate places.

You launch at one point, sail 200 miles, then leave your boat and board a charter bus that takes you back to the starting point where you collect your rig and then drive 200 miles back to your boat.

This is only reason I've never participated.
