Honeysuckle Rose is a well equipped specimen of this pocket cruiser with a new Harken roller-furling genoa system 135% Anson genoa added in 2004. In addition she has an Anson main, Anson spinnaker, and 110% jib. Harken single-line reefing and lazy jacks were added a couple of years later. All lines lead back to cockpit, with two Maxwell 20 and two Lewmar winches, all self-tailing. The engine is a freshwater-cooled 10 HP Universal model 12 diesel with low hours. The teak-lined cabin has a V-berth in the bow, a main saloon, equipped with two single berths and two more fold-down berths above them, a folding teak dining table, and a galley with a 2-burner Origo alcohol stove and ice box. There is also a fully enclosed, teak-lined shower room, with a Groco manual toilet and stainless steel sink, and a stereo radio/CD player with 4 speakers. Other equipment includes a full size Edson steering wheel, emergency tiller, manual bilge pump, cockpit cushions, dodger, 110V shore power hook-up, 12V DC fused panel, two 12V batteries, Standard Horizon GPS, Garmin Fish Finder, fenders, life jackets, swim ladder, and much more.
BUT: Buyers should note that the boat is showing her age and needs work to restore her to Bristol condition. Items needing attention include the mast step, rudder, plumbing, hot water tank, bilge pump, cabin ports (re-bedding) and bottom (new paint). I am holding nothing back and have a complete and up-to-date surveyor's report available for serious inquirers. For someone handy and with a good knowledge of boats this cruiser has great potential at an affordable price (reduced by $5,000 since she first went on the market). She can be seen on jack stands in the yard of Great Bay Marine in Newington, NH, and can easily be sailed or motored to another location.
New reduced price: $11,750, OBO.

very nice name!  and a new hampshire boat to boot!   i wish that i were in the market for a 27 at this time..  may i ask the background of the boat?  i used to sail with a colleague  on a 27 on lake winnipesaukee.  that was my introduction to compacs ,  and it was a major influence behind the purchase of Adagio.    jt

Sorry, been away and busy and only just checked this site. I bought the boat 12 years ago in Hingham, Mass., so she's not a native NH boat. I think I'm the second owner and have had a lot of fun with her. The trouble is, I'm a summer visitor to NH and never have enough time for maintenance, and I'm not getting any younger, hence the sale. As for the name, any fan of trad jazz - and especially of Satchmo - will recognize it as a well known Blues tune, and it also incorporates my wife's name. Nice to hear from a fellow ComPac 27 fan.
