How do I add an avatar?

How do I add an avatar so I can add a picture of my suncat to my posts?

Click on PROFILE then select FORUM PROFILE INFORMATION.  You need to use the "http" link for the avatar photo.

hmmm....When I try to browse to the photo of my choise, I get this....

The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved

any ideas?

Make sure the photo is in a site such as photobucket and use the http link.
