I decided to try and remove the paint on the cabin front with 150 Grit sandpaper in my orbital sander.
I tested on the bootstrap on the transome with success so took to the cabin front.

Here's a picture showing before, during and after.  The sanding was followd by 3M Cleaner Wax and hand buff.

I also cleared the nasty yellow boot stripe on the transom, started on the hull and then the rains came....
Other todo's done :
Primed the cabin bunks, Clean/Was forward Deck, romved hand rail, and hatchboad teack (rails etc) for cleaning
put on plastic shroud covers. removed jib haylard have new one to put on.

Good job ... I recently bught a CP19 that was very badly oxidized. I went with 220 wet paper for removing the heaviest oxidation - finished removal with 400 and then did 800-1000-2000 before finally polishing with a foam pad on a power buffer with 3M polishing compound. The 220 cleaned it well but it took the really fine stuff too make it shine. I'm about two-thirds done with the hull below the joint.
