i need a new fore stay for my little sailboat.  it's not a compac, but i'm hoping you won't hold that against me.

anyone know of an inexpensive shop i can get a rough quote from?

i've used west marine in the past and their price was reasonable , but i had to drop it off at the store and I'd rather not spend the hour drive and the gas when it would be cheaper for me to mail some where else.

Defender has a custom rigging division, and you can send them the old forestay for matching. I have found them to have great customer service and pretty quick shipping times. Their prices are consistently lower (sometimes dramatically so) than West Marine's. Defender.com.

Why not buy some ss wire rope from Ace Hardware and some U-clamps and one turn buckle and build one.

Anybody can beat the West Marine prices. I check the catalog and go buy somewhere else.
