Fuel Tank Hose Routing

As the original poster, thought I'd let those interested know that I did indeed eventually find a better alternative for running the fuel hose from the tank to the motor and it WASN"T THRU THE DARN TRANSOM HOLE!

Instead, embellishing on an idea from Dick Kenyon, another Sun Cat Owner, I routed the fuel hose up thru the drain hole in the center of the transom cockpit seat and up over the coaming thru the stainless gallows base to the engine. The easily reachable primer bulb is properly oriented in an up - down position and fixed to the horn trim several inches above the seat with nylon cable clamps using the screws that were already there.

This arrangement has proven very effective and doesn't interfere at all with the custom 5 inch all-round cockpit seat cushions that my wife and I made for the boat.

This is the kind of "thinking outside the box" solution I asked about in the original post.
