Gentlemen,

I normally don't post things like this but my youngest son is involved. He served in the Army, 1st Armored Div, 1st Battalion 6th Infantry. He was deployed in Iraq, it was shitty. Three of his buddies from the unit have committed suicide after returning home. Another member of the unit is producing a documentary about these tragedies. He is working on getting the project funded through something called Kickstarter. Honestly I do not know much about the funding program but according to my kid if they can raise 10K the project will get full funding. They just made it but some donors have backed out and it is barely funded. If you can spare even 1$ it will help them out.

Here is a link to the project:

My son had his own issues after returning. I'm very glad to report he is doing very well now. In fact he got a job like his old man and is working for a small city Fire Department. Today was his second day on duty. We were talking on the phone and he said "Got to go, getting a call". That was a first, normally it was me hanging up on my kids for a call. I was overcome with pride.

Bill:
Good to hear from you. I was just thinking that you have been kinda quiet lately.
Having dealt firsthand with the after effects of my father in laws suicide last October 22nd, I will definitely support this effort. Words can't describe the devastation that a suicide leaves behind. It's a damn shame that our servicemen and women have to deal with the bs that the government hands them. The same government that sent them over there. In my opinion, every veteran that returns home deserves a heros welcome.
   Thanks for sharing this,
