Anyone planning to attend the 2011 show in Annapolis from 10/06 to 10/10? I hope to be there on Saturday so if anyone wants to take the risk to thier reputation of being seen in public with me, maybe we coud meet up, throw back a cold one, and visit with Rich or Gerry Hutchins? We could exchange cell phone number via personal message.

Hi Bob,

Hope you enjoy the show. My friend Dario (who is also my Volvo mechanic) is going with another friend, Alex, in Alex's Potter 15! GBT! Hope they make it safely.

Update: I belive Dario and Alex are only sailing to St. George's this weekend. They'll drive to the Annapolis show. Still, it ought to be adventurous enough in the Potter from Jersey to  St. George's. I thought they said they'd be on Chesapeake Bay. Has anyone seen the sun yet?

Have you been out in Pegasus, Marty?

Bob,

Not since my trip to Cedar Creek. Has it stopped raining yet? I'll be at Watkins Glen the weekend of Oct. 14-16. Maybe I'll get in an "Indian Summer" cruise toward the end of Oct. Barnegate or Nockamixon?

Update:
I will not be attending this years show. Looks like a better day to be sailing on my own boat rather than driving 3 plus hours to look at other peoples boats. Also considering that Koinonia gets pulled for the season next week to get ready for her winter hibernation.
Best to all who attend. How about a report back here?

Not my year for this, Admiral just had her second glaucoma surgery. Hopefully with both eyes done, we can move past this and plan some longer travel.  I would love to go to that show one year.  My Dad was born and raised in Eastport, Grandparents lived in Severna Park and Pokomoke at various times.  I lived in the Annapolis area several times as a kid, but haven't been back there in fifty years.  Be nice to stir up old memories while getting to drool over the boats.

hey there, Bob.    sounds like a good decision..  you already have the boat that you love anyhow :)  and, it sure does look like it is going to be a pretty weekend!   we have to stay close to home - lots of grade reports to be written over the weekend..  so we will do that and work on our house..   i am hoping to meet up with Marty later in the month.. perhaps a sail on lake nockamixon..   enjoy the weekend!  jt

Did anyone attend the show? I usually try to track down Rich or Gerry. I didn't go this year...chose to sail instead but I didn't get around to that either...work always gets in the way of more important things.

well I did not, but it would have been a good year for me to go.  In addition to drooling over the boats, meeting the Hutchins crowd, I could have watched my Alma mater pound the Naval Academy on Saturday.:)
