Heads up on C16 maintenance: SOIL BALLAST revisited

All,

Please note that there is a thread in the chat room concerning the evaluation of an old C16.  The key words in the thread is SOIL BALLAST.  Current discusion is about a delaminating headliner due to leakage through bolt holes in the deck.  That water has since accumulated in the concrete balast: winter freeze thaw cycles have rendered the concrete ballast to a soil-like mass. I bring this to you attention becuase these problems can be avoided by ordinary maintainece.  Please do not let your boats experience these problems.
