Well we did it!

We are now owners of a 1985 Islander Freeport 38C. The boat is at a small club marina on North Padre Island.

Right now we are down for a couple weeks. Took her out the other day for an overnight with some of the club members. Real skinny water here. Ran aground not once but twice in real soft mud. Oh well it happens. Tomorrow we head for a little marina on the other side of Corpus Christi Bay.

It aint no ComPAc but holy crap will it sail.

And talk about room. Stand up walk around stretch out cook dinner use a real head.

Nothing will ever replace my sincere fondness for Pooka but this aint too bad either.

Best wishes for many hours of pleasure with your "new" boat!

Methinks it has far too much draft for the skinny waters here around Southwest Florida.

Congrats, Bill. Any names yet for the new baby?

No name change for now. Don't want to push our luck.
