Finally! After one of the coldest winters on record Pooka is now on the water. We hauled the boat to the lake last night and did most of the rigging. Slept on the boat and finished rigging and bending sails this morning. The Honda on the dinghy of all things was tempermental. Oh well need something to work on.
The boat worked great and we had a great first sail. Although the wind was extra finicky today.

Loaded and ready for the 65 mile road trip:

Rigged and ready to go:

In we go:

I'll be damned. Thought it looked familiar. One of my siblings lived in Frisco for a number of years in the '80's. Always enjoyed visiting there, beautiful country. I used to have a "Sail the Summit" t-shirt that finally disintegrated from use. I had a Hobie Cat back then and of course the shirt had a catamaran on it.

You're a lucky man.

Looks great! I lived in Central City for a few years in the early 70's and also liked Granby.

Have a blast!

I always love the photos of Pooka being trailered. What an impressive and imposing sight! Congrats on your first sail of the season. I went out last night on "Koinonia" for the first  sunset sail here in NJ...great weather this Memorial Day weekend.
