:?  Hello, its my first time in here.  I am going to be looking at a couple of used CP19's, an '84 and an '87.  Is there a list somewhere of what to look for in used CP19's?  I am looking for a trailer sailer for use on lakes and some coastal sailing.  What I have read about the CP19 it seems to get good reviews so here I am, looking.  Are ther any particular areas where problems could be hidden or overlooked by someone new to the boat?
Thanks,
Peter

What I look for is cracks...
Cracks in gel coat.
Cracks in any and all castings, since casting don't bend. They crack.
Clean, clean, clean, fiberglass, chrome, alum, lines, ground tackle,
back of sole in cabin is a well for the bildge, is it 'ship shape'?
Bow and stern pulpits, safety line, extra equipment.
Best thing about the COM-PAC 19's is they have no filler core in the deck or cabin construction. Just micro balloons. Nothing to ROT!
If you like the boat, buy it. Otherwise walk away from it. They use to make'em everyday. Don't rush. Good luck.
