Hi Folks,

Well, it's been a busy year up to now what with business travel and finishing off the 2nd half of our basement.  That said, we actually made it to our boat last Sunday, June 13th.   Spent a very enjoyable 3 hours sailing with guests.  REALLY felt great to get Celestine (COM-PAC 27) sailing.   Better yet, we beat the afternoon thunderstorm in by about 30 minutes while mostly successfully backing Celestine into our bulkhead slip.

Everyone got helm time and at all points of sail and all seemed to enjoy themselves judging by the smiles on their faces.  Especially the ladies!

Hopefully, we'll get more sail time this year than last.  Last year my wife started referring to Celestine as our floating cottage - ugh!

We sail out of Regent Point Marina, Virginia.  This is on the mouth of the Rappahannock River, approximately 4 miles to the Chesapeake Bay, just before Deltaville.

We know there are a few other COM-PACs nearby and hope to see them on the river or bay this year.

One of our friends splashed his COM-PAC 19 this past Saturday in the Potomac near Dahlgren.   Hopefully, they will get to sail it this coming weekend for the first time.  Spent last year repainting, etc. this new boat to him.  He's also a member of this association, but I don't know what his member name is at this point in time.  That's due my CRS condition!

                                                                                                              At any rate good sailing,

                                                                                                                Gary & Kathy

Hi Gary and Kathy,
Glad to hear you have been out sailing on Celestine. We have managed to get out a half dozen times this year on Beagle II and are waiting for the new mainsail to arrive. Becky and I stopped by Regent Point a couple of times by truck and by kayak, but you guys were never around- too busy doing non-sailing things!!  We'll be around beginning the 23rd through about 7/7. We won't be on our CP27 this time, but we will swing by on the kayaks. Hopefully, we can meet up for a sail, some lunch at Cocomo's, and swap some sailing stories. Give me an email hoot at pscorion@aol.com if you will be around and want to get together!

Hi Gary and Kathy

We have met you a couple of times at Regency -- we used to sail a cp 16 out of Hunton Creek within  5 miles of so of Regency. Late last summer we moved to a Seaward 26RK (beam and draft suitable for Hunton Creek (20" draft board up and 8'4" beam). We will likely see you out on the river or the bay. We met a nice couple in West Marine that sail out of stingray point marina in a cp 35. You will likely see numerous 16's, some 23's and a number of cat boats. Compac makes good vessels.

Best, doug and chris
