Dave and Greg,

There was some discussion between you two under another topic about the possibility of a trip to the Bahamas.  Are there some serious intentions here, and would anyone else be interested?

I'd say I would definitely be up for it and would be willing to put aside the time for such an adventure.  I'm no weather expert for Florida, but it seems the best season for this would be early spring, more consistant Easterlies to Southeasterlies, making a departure from Miami area a real decent possibility.

I am ready to mark a spot in my calendar to join a small group.

Ron, I'm going to take a couple days and think about this. I'd say that today, my chances of an extended trip this spring is less than 10%. With a couple day's time, I might be able to get that up to 25-30% (which in my book, is as good as a sure thing). One of the variables for sure is my annual shift bid at work and vacation bid. All this happens early in December.

What kind of time frame would you be thinking? I'd think at least a two week window. I'd love to have 7-10 days there (not including a couple days crossing either way).

Greg - That sounds like a good plan to me.  I would schedule to get a couple of weekends off for this.  We would need passports and cruising permits - I have Bahamas courtesy flag and quarantine flag.  Going to get some Kalik at the srore to get in the mood.

Great story, she makes a lot of good points to consider.  BILL
