What degree do y'all set your tacking arms at?
I'm guessing 65

What are tacking arms? Those fixed  things atop the mast with an air blown arrow above them?

After I made a pair for my boat and set these two bamboo sticks [scurers]  at 45 deg I read that maybe 60~65 deg was correct. My buddy had to buy another Davis set for his boat as he smashed his when the mast was lowered for a road trip. Does not matter I just use them for a reference guide anyway.

I have more information using sail tell-tails. skip.

At least 65.   I just put a Windex on my 16, and even 65 degrees is pushing it.   Admittedly, my main is pretty blown out, but that's about as close to the wind as I could get.
