In water mast raise and lower?

Has anyone raised and lowered a CP23 mast while tied to the dock? I need to replace my VHF cable and dont want to haul the boat out if I don't have to. I have done it on the trailer only for the last 8 years and have it down to a science. Any thoughts?

We keep HideAway backed into our slip and have had no worries raising or lowering the mast.  We do not have the process down to a science so it takes three of us but we have had no problems.  Since the boat is stern to the dock and the dock is wide the top of the mast rests on the dock making it handy to do repairs.  Do watch the tide though.  Matt

The operation was a success. Dropped the mast changed the VHF antenna and ran a new cable down the mast and stepped it again. I saved myself about 3hrs by not having to pull the boat.

Hey, Steve:
   I was finally sailing down in your waters the other day; sailed Koinonia under the bridge for the first time, through Thorofare channel and south a bit. Fun! Nothing quite like exploring new waters. I'l have to pick your brain as to where to and where not to go.
   Seems like a fun voyage south along the mainland, over to LBI, and south around the Coast Guard Station and west up into Great Bay.

After the last time I lowered and raised my mast on the mooring I got mast steps.

Nothing quite like handling a mast on a rocking boat.
