Does anybody know the proper angle for the spreader and the proper method for attaching the shroud to the spreader tip.  I see it is a wire tie, but just curious what works best.  Did some searching on the owners site but could not find anything.

The spreaders on my Com-Pac 19 are horizontal and with zero rake forward or backward. As for attaching the spreader to the standing wire stays it is simply the stainless steel wire into a grooved end on the spreader with an aftermarket rubber boot going over the twisted wire that retains the standing rigging wire rope in the ends of the stays so as to not rip the main or head sails. skip.

Thanks.  The rake I was asking about is how much upward rake.  Some recommendations are for the spreader to bisect the angle of the shroud.
