I have a 1982 CP 16 and would like to get some advise on a larger jib. I'm currently using a 120 but feel i need a little more head sail but not sure what's to big? I was considering a 155 but have been told it would be too much for the boat. I also need advice or pictures (pictures would be great) on how to run the sheet lines and hardware required along with mounting locations. I have some ideas but I'm sure there have been many modifications over the years and would rather eliminate the guess work and use proven method. Currently i only have a cabin top track and swivel cleat for the 120 so I'm sure i will need some kind of cleat on the cockpit combing to accommodate a larger head sail. Any tips, suggestions or pictures will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Brooke

I use the 155 in anything up to 15mph winds (although the 110 works better in 12-15).  Anyway... if you go with the genoa you're going to want to sheet it far aft on a beat and move the point forward as you reach... then with the whisker pole you will want the sheeting point all the way forward on the coaming to provide downward force.  All these sheeting points are performed well by the genoa track.  You can get the parts from Com Pac (the curved track to match the coaming length and shape)... installing it may be a real task, but the rewards should be worth it.
I get all my sails from National... they are the Rolley Tasker rep and the quality is great... check my photos on both the "old owners pages" and also the "new gallery".
Best of Luck to you.
