Since I usually go Friday, Saturday, home on Sunday but this year we do not have enough 'scratch' to buy a $120 a day room at the Fairmont, pay $32 a day to park, buy outrageously priced food, see what I already saw last year, and the year before that! Drive 4 hours and 45 minutes one way and buy $200 bucks worth of gasoline, and find a place for my dog Logan. So I guess I can't go. Have a good time everybody else, wish I was going. And besides we are on mandatory overtime, 10 hours a day, minimum 5 hours on Saturday, and minimum 5 hours on Sunday. Palmer Johnson hopes to 'splash' 7 boats this year. First one 01-Apirl-2008. We have more then this on order. I guess the owner has money he hasn't spent yet. LOL. skip.

Lost Lake

I'll be there Saturday, this is my first year there....

Ah yes, mandatory over time I'm sure glad I retired from Los Angles Co. and no longer have to work Mandatory over time, or week ends or holidays or nights or have to cancel my vacation because of some sort of tactical alert,

Skip if you don't go, there might be something you can do on your boat ?

Pictures?  I will be taking two digital cameras and one video camera as in movie camera... with 8 hours of record time on the mini disc and or hard drive... should have lots of pics ...

Taking AmTrak in Saturday Morning to be there when the show opens that day.

Should be fun...I have been to Navy Pier before and it was a blast.

Will keep everyone posted.

If your going, Saturday just look for me ... I will be the one with the Com-pac hat on and smiling alot.

Well, we went to the boat show and Rich H. was there from Com-pac and I got to talk to him a little.
No Legacy was there.  The cat boats were.  Nice.:)

Meet one Com-pac owner of a 23.

Skip,
Your right... expensive food and a big crowd.....we took the Amtrak train down and left the driving to them. That part wasn't to bad....

Noticed one thing...almost every boat there had a airfoil rudder of somekind except com-pac...to bad.  I have to add that the Eclipse has a foil rudder.

I got a plan for a NACA 0013 that fits perfectly and I will build once all this snow goes away and it warms up alittle.

It was fun to look at all the neat boat stuff.....still nobody makes a low cost roller furler for a CP16...to bad, to sad.....

More later...
SMILES.....We are back home.
