Gooseneck extension installation...

I ordered/received a gooseneck extension from Hutchins (this will allow the boom to fold up along the mast for travel/storage)... wondered if anyone has already installed one or has a picture of one installed.  Trying to see what parts come out and or what gets repositioned/replaced.  It shipped without any instructions for installation.  Thank you.

I have a picture of the boom to mast connection on my 16. It allows me to swing the boom to the mast before lowering the mast to gallows. The connection at the boom is a clevis pin. Not clear in the picture,
what makes the connection at the gooseneck. This set-up was in place when I bought the boat. I appears to be about a four inch tube.
If you PM me, I will send the picture. Too large to post here.

Would like to see a picture of what you purchased.

Many thanks for the picture... what I received was the SS tube looks to be similar to what you have installed between your boom and the mast.  It also looks like you added a Dwyer Mast small tack bracket (DH683) on the mast slide, how is that working for you for jiffy reefing?

Was at the boat yesterday, checked the extension at the gooseneck. Both ends are secured with clevis pins.
I seldom reef the main and when I do, it is at the dock based on expected winds. I solo sail, so shaking out a reef while sailing is a lot easier than reefing underway.
The gooseneck hardware is the same as when I bought the boat in 2011. It works fine. Sometimes the reefing hook twists making it difficult to connect/remove at the reef tack. a soft shackle in the reefing tack grommet can help.
Hope you enjoy your 16.

Redleg,
I have the tube and my boom folds up nicely with my mast. I'd like to keep the mast stepped and the boom attached and tow it that way...but the mast sure does protrude a ways past the stern! I may tie a big red rag on it.
Cheers!

I've gone to leaving the mast attached to the tabernacle, and yes, flying a red rag from the back.  Makes life simpler.
