Sunday morning, Suzuki not pumping water, Going to miss the holiday if I can't get new impeller and install. No manual. This is why I love inboards. The water pump's right there. You can see it.

Anyone know of an online manual source? To order one will take several days. Better yet, anyone out there who can walk me through the replacement?
Forever grateful for any help.

Joe:

Sorry, I don't know of any online manuals.  However, this months issue of Boatworks and an outboard rebuild.  It looks pretty comprehensive.  They also recommend taking lots of digital photos to help you remember how to put things back together again.

You can check out their website HERE.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.

My philosophy on small outboards is just start taking things apart and keep the digital camera handy to remember what it's supposed to look like when you're finished. I've never cracked open a suzuki but I would be willing to bet the impeller's behind the prop under a small case or on top of the lower unit requiring it's removal. Either way, you will have the part in hand at the outboard shop so they won't give you the wrong part requiring your return to the shop with an attitude. Been there, done that. Good luck Tim
