Kon Kika

Hi all,

Just a quick introduction from a newbie. I'm a proud owner of a 78' Com-Pac 16 (Kon Kika) in the Tampa Bay area. I usually launch from Dunedin Marina (in Dunedin, FL) and sail the St. Joesph Sound area . When I'm not feeling up to the extra post-sail cleaning required after a day playing around the intercoastal, I usually opt for Lake Tarpon, launching from Anderson Park boat ramp in Tarpon Springs, FL just up the road.

Have really enjoyed reading all the various posts. Great site for Com-Pac owners. See you in the discussion forums.

Cheers

Good Friday the 13th morning to you Jimbo. So sailing today?
I'm hoping for some of the four foot of snow to melt in my yard and the ice to start to go out.
As you know any question about the Com-Pac 16, or sailing same, or just funnin around are welcome.
Glad you swung aboard. skip.

Captain...Splashing on 4/15? Are you sure? Being tax day all the joy you can muster is required.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all.

Skip, not sailing today, but I did have her out of the garage this morning preparing for an overnighter scheduled next Wednesday and Thursday. Will be heading out to Caladesi Island State Park (very close to Clearwater, FL), where they have a 101 slip marina for boaters (essentially a camp ground for boaters). Thursday night will be at anchorage near Anclote Key (about 3 miles North of Caladesi), then head back to where I launched on Wednesday. It's great sailing waters should anyone ever feel up to dragging their boat down this way, and several excellent boat ramps to launch from.

Cheers

Jimbo
