After getting to bed after 1am, I awoke early to pick Joanie up at the airport. Waiting for some time I called her to find out her flight lands at 1109PM! I should have read the fine print more carefully. Back home and not feeling motivated to keep clearing brush, I packed a cooler and set off in the 19. Sailing down Greens creek I tacked to port and headed up Smith creek with a tack to starboard to sail up Adams creek. It was a slow sail but I reached the "end" where I found a Compac 27 at a marina. I don't recall her name. Sailing back down and making the turn to sail up Smith creek, the wind only let me persue that route for about 1/4 mile before I  made a 360 and sailed down under the bridge and out onto the mighty Neuse. The wind was out of the ENE at 16mph making some 2 and occasionally 3 foot rollers. Amazingly I stayed dry and didn't reef the genny until tacking to port. After 2 hours I pointed her at the bridge and we flew wing on wing all the way to the harbor break water, sometimes exceding 6 knots. I was out nearly 5 hours and would have loved to keep going, but food, a shower, and a nap is required before driving back to the airport.
