salty 16 and i have been talking about putting together a "sail in" at carlyle lake,Illinois. we would have it sometime this summer. the lake has a large swimming area near the dam, and many camping areas and cabins. there are also motels in the area. i think the allens branch area in eldon hazlett state park would work well. there are no slips available but i think rigged boats could be parked overnight in their large parking lot. i would camp in mine and keep and eye on the others if need be. we thought we could keep it simple. sail, bbq, drink whatever. keep it loose. anyway if anyone is interested and i can get a number i can look into reservations etc.    let either me or salty know if you can.   thanks -----kickinbug
