Looking to switch to a tensioning lever on my forestay. When raising the mast my wife has trouble attaching the forestay as I push the mast foreword. I thought a tension lever may make this easier. I believe the wire is 5/32" and the levers I see are all rated at 1/8". Is anyone using a lever and what would you recommend.

I might be a little late to the party, but this is what you want.

I have this on my Compac 16. Make sure you get the quick release pin also that is suggested on the linked page. This lever is a direct replacement for the forestay turnbuckle.
