Has anyone ever had a canvas cover made for a PC? I think what I want is called a mooring cover, one that would go over the boom and cover the cockpit like a tent. Goal is to: 1)protect all teak from the sun and 2)keep the damn birds off!

I haven't had a mooring cover made, but this relatively recent thread on the PC Group may be helpful. Even as a non-member you should be able to open it. Two possible sources, Sailors' Tailor and SLO.

Thanks Bruce! I'm going to look into these and other options. I think what I want is more of a tent-like cover that could even be open at the front and back. Otherwise, I can't imagine how I'd get a fitted full cover in place while paddling around the boat in a dinghy! Com-pac suggested seeing what a local canvas shop could do. I'd have to figure out a way to fasten it. Might have to install some loops like the ones the bimini attaches to.
