Hi, friends!

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying life wherever it finds you. I'm hunkered down in a snowy, cold, blustery day, here, in the Midwest, with both SV Sunny and SV No Mas sittin' pretty on the hard at my home. Just wanted to see if other Legacy owners out there have had it in mind to have a 2nd set of reef pts added to their mainsail? I decided to go for it and sent Sunny's mainsail into SailCrafters up in Minneapolis to have the work done. I am excited about this as I know it'll give me some peace of mind to be able to use that 2nd set of reef pts, if things are looking a bit sketchy. Just another tool to add to the sailor's toolbox, I feel -- will help me have some confidence to still get out on the water if the wind is a bit puffy.  ;D

Speaking of puffy conditions re: Legacies -- I have a friend who recently purchased a Legacy -- don't recall the year, but boy, she is a nice vessel that my friend acquired. He told me that he took her sailing on Lake Huron, I believe (maybe it was Lake Erie?) and was sailing in 3-5ft swells with some pretty serious wind conditions. He said he never lost confidence in his new-to-him Legacy and was very impressed with how she handled the conditions. Don't recall if he had a 2nd set of reef pts, still, tho, I am happy to hear his report on how well his Legacy did. These are tough lil' boats! My friend is here on the forum, don't know how frequently, but hoping he may chime in and share more of his story with his Legacy with us. Sounds like he is really loving his Legacy -- so happy for him!

Fair winds,
~ Chelle
