Foam in forward area?

Hey All, there?s currently a conversation on the Facebook page about why there?s poured in foam in the forward section under the v- berth, Any ideas why it was placed there?

The general consensus (from the Facebook page) seems to be for Stiffening the forward hull section and sound suppression.  This is all conjecture as Hutchins wasn?t contacted.
