Hi guys,

I could really use some help here. I ordered my new mainsail with jiffy reefing for my compac 16 mk1 that I currently use roller reefing on.

I contacted com-pac (great service) and got the need hardware and a diagram (kind of ) of what the boom should look like after the install.

can I get a real-life picture from one of gents of a boom that has jiffy reefing hardware on it?

also any of you that have done this any tips are appreciated.

there is a good reason while everyone in my family is an engineer but me!

Suggest that you read through this fairly recent thread from the SunCat portion of the forum:

Upgrading the reefing system on my SunDayCat is on my to-do list for this Spring.
I will probably be terminating the line to a cleat on the boom, rather than, via the mast, to one on the cabin top.
All four of my cabin top cleats are already used for another purpose.
