It seems to be working as it did. There are still some small issues with it - smileys and maybe avatars seem to be missing? Blech. ;)

Thanks for your patience! :D

CaptK,

Thanks for your efforts! The transition seems to be seamless except for the loss of avatars (yours works!) and photos/attachments that have been posted. They appear to be there, just not accessible. I've tried, Satari, Firefox, and Chrome. Smileys work!

(I uploaded a new Avatar... yeah, I cheated... ;) )

I believe the other issues come from a change in the path/directory structure... I have about a dozen other sites I am having to transition right now at the same time (3 different server accounts at once), so if you can bear with it for a couple of days then I'll have the time to be able to deep-dive it and see if I can get that fixed. Thanks! :D

While waiting on some large uploads ::) :P, I figured out the Attachment and Avatar issues; they are fixed now.

Let me know what else you see/notice, thanks!  8)

A dozen sites! No rush, thanks.

The attachments issue is better. Clicking on the filename downloads the file and it opens. Not as seamless as clicking on a preview image and the window expanding, but it works.

I tried posting on the Testing forum minutes ago, one line of text and a 241 KB photo that I attached successfully on 3/7, and it wouldn't post. Razor's post of 8/30/19 remains the most current.

I tired to upload a new avatar, sized to 241 KB, saved (clicked Change profile), and it didn't take.

Above using Safari.

Update at 9:58: Avatar working on Chrome, still unable to post test message with photo.

Bruce - maybe try dumping your browser cache, if you haven't? I just tried it myself and attached a pic to a test msg with no issues.

Thanks for the help/feedback!  8) :)

That must be Barque in your test msg, what a great name! Jamie says hi.

Huh. I'm guessing this will post, but when I try to attach a photo of my Scottie Jamie, a 212 KB jpg, a 247 KB png, and a 62 KB png sequentially, in Safari, it won't post. Tried the same series in Chrome, same result. Cache cleared before each attempt, and went back to the original message and started a new reply each time. I'll keep playing around. Hopefully others can post photos and it's just me.

Thanks!

Well, something happened and now I cannot post either. It doesn't seem to start the upload process. I didn't change anything, either.

Sure, Jim, thanks! :)

I think the issues are buried deep in the database, some small corruption with farther reaching consequences. Maybe next week when I have a day I'll put the forum into Maintenance Mode, make a fresh install from untainted code, and then see if adding back in to the new, fresh DB *only* the members, posts, and attachments from this current DB, if that gets us back on track.

So - have fun in the meanwhile. :)
