i would like to do two things to the cushions

1. replace the foam - do you have suggestions of what type of foam? thickness? and where to purchase?

2. i live in an area where "upholstery" is an art - i will have no trouble getting the cutting, fitting, and sewing done - but if you have done this - do you have any suggestion before i start this project

thanks so much

Yes I have sat and slept on both Naugahyde and cloth births. I would go with a nice original looking cloth material that will not 'stick' to your body, and will breath well when your sticky...go cloth. skip.

I wanted to get new foam until I got the price. Ouch! My sewing guy had another idea; wrap the old foam.

The cushion wrapping  material went around the cushion 2 or 3 times. It bulked it up about 2 inches and is nice and soft. Many, many times cheaper.
