I am considering a Torqeedo 1003 on a CP16 MII.  Of those who have tried this, 2 questions:  (1) long shaft or short shaft (on original motor mount bracket)?  (2) How have you addressed the tiller/transom interference (remote throttle, or remove tiller and use longer cord, or something else)?

Thanks for any input.

I only have experience on the CP-19mk 2, using long shaft.  Motor will rotate 180 degrees when up due to weight of battery.  We kept original throttle arm as to be able to steer also with motor.  I bought the remote throttle, but after 2 years, have yet to mount it.

The TorqTrac is great addition for monitoring range, battery status, and map in real time.  The throttle handle display is small and hard to read in direct sunlight.

You may want to think about carrying spare battery to extend range.

Best of luck, for me it was a solid choice.  Fells good to be free of gas, and great restart without stressing over ssetting carb and /or flooding the engine.
