I am having trouble finding a combination of regulator + gauge/leak detector + solenoid that will fit on the horizontally aligned propane tank in the locker under the helm seat on my CP27.  Can anyone direct me to products that will work?  Thanks.

Have a photo?  I have a vertical 11 lb tank.  There's a hard copper line going directly to the regulator which screws into the tank.  There's no flexible hose so there's danger of bending the line when you change the tank.  Not only that, whoever installed it drilled about a 1" diameter hole so the copper line can go down into the locker below and then the cabin.  The hole's not sealed in any way, so a propane leak could basically let propane into the engine compartment.  I used it to run the propane furnace a couple of times because there didn't appear to be any leaks.  But the tank was stamped 1988 (same year as the boat) so I don't think I can refill it without re certifying it.
So the plan is to redo mine as well.  bulkhead mount a regulator, pressure gauge, and perhaps a solenoid, then a flex hose to either the re-certified tank or a new translucent fiberglass tank so I can see how much liquid is in there.
Input appreciated!

If ever your vessel stands the chance of being surveyed, for sale or insurance purposes, they'll be quick to point out that the propane locker must be sealed in every way, except a bottom drain that goes nowhere but overboard...
