happy new year

   let me take this opportunity to wish everyone here (especially CLR sailors) a safe and wonderful new year. the weather here in southern Illinois is cold cold cold (gonna be 8 degrees monday but no snow). we hope everyone stays safe and has some great sailing videos and books to keep them warm ( as well as some medicinal libations). to southern sailors----i am green like a christmas tree with envy but to be honest i do enjoy winter, somewhat. we hope to have a good turnout in june at the clr but we do realize events such as this have a lifespan. over winter i plan on researching some other sailing events with the idea of finding new and interesting ideas. even though its not 2018 yet i do want a head count as soon as possible, 2018 might be a good year to inject some new blood into the event so tell your sailing friends. enough commercial,  Be safe, stay warm and have a great new years eve

May 2018 be kind to you and Sarah, Kick! I plan to be at CLR..might even be buying a small boat to pull out just for this event! Stay well...snowing here. 8 degrees yesterday morning!! And a very happy New year to all!!! May your PBR glasses always be full!!!

our blessings to all for the new year.

i only get 3 vacation picks a year, #1 went for a 2 week north channel cruise, and the week of CLR is already filled. 

if we're coming to CLR we wont know until the last moment, and it will only be for a couple days.

Happy New Year to all as well!  Unfortunately I will not be able to attend CLR 2018 because my family vacation (reunion) is scheduled for that same week. I'm sad about that but I am planning on going to the North Channel and sailing with Crazy Carl.
