Hi Bilgemaster,

I'm curious as to how things are moving along with your electrical work on Foundling. I might like to be your first charter as you aren't too terribly far away. My son AKA No.4monkey and I actually traveled down your way to Leesylvania Park a couple of weekends ago to check it out. We'd never been there before. It was quite windy and warm. Would have been a great day to sail if not a bit rough.

Regards,

Keith

Ahoy there my simian buddy! Seems I overlooked your posting. Sorry for the tardy response. Aside from hooking up one of those little ten buck watt-and-a-half Harbor Freight solar panels to keep her old Group 24 battery tip-top in the boat yard, I haven't yet fussed with her electrics. The good news is  that those little panels really do the trick. Tests after sundown show a good steady charge at right about 12.8 volts--not bad for a maybe decade old geriatric battery swapped out of my old Durango towbeast, and it should handily manage the lights, once I get them all sorted out. As for when that might happen, I went ahead and grabbed that early retirement brass ring they were waving at pre-geezing Federales like me, and I'll be lurching for the exits next month. Hence, I imagine the Foundling will be getting her due attention and pampering on those unseasonably marvelous shirtsleevy days we often enjoy down here south of the Mason-Dixon. I'd guess she might be really tip-top by early April.
