Well just as we were climbing back aboard Interlude, our PSC31, after going out for a few hours with Pedro, a fellow i had never seen before at our little marina stopped me to ask if she was a Pacific Seacraft, to which i replied yes. He said something about how beautiful they are and left.

Fast forward to next morning and while walking the docks with my morning cup of Joe, I see a couple heading for the other PSC at our marina and thought finally I will get a chance to meet the owners, but after lingering next to her for a bit, they continued back down the dock. As they got closer i recognized the fellow as the same one from the day before who had asked about Interlude, so I  commented that i first thought he might have been the owner of that other PSC. He smiled and said that he has been lusting after one for a while, but said they had a Compac Eclipse they were sailing. He also mentioned the cute Compac 16 they saw up in the yard, to which I confessed was ours as well. We both agreed that the Compacs were wonderful boats, with a wonderful company and that it does seems to be a gateway drug boat that sets you up for wanting that Pacific Seacraft! Hear that Lesa, Bob!

Compacs are simply wonderful boats and their appeal is not only sailing qualities but appearance, and it lends itself to looking at other craft of similar traditional lines such as PSC, Cape Dory, Bristol Channel Cutter (yup Lesa there ya go again!) and the like. I wish Robin well as they are moving to Louisiana for his job and were out getting a three week cruise on the bay in before they left. He has been known to visit this forum as well, so hey Robin, nice boat ya got there! Hope your trip up to Urbanna was good yesterday. Thanx for the tip about Starboard paddle boards.

Well said, Rick. I can control my addiction, really I can. I can stop anytime I want, I really can...I just don't want to!!  I'm quite content with my daily dosage of 23, but once in a while, a Miss Flicka gets my attention.

I know it to be true, I looked at an ad for a Dana the other day with serious intentions.
