adding a byte of SS

working on a 1990ish  CP16cb
with midship mainsheet...the "decider mate" questioned the ease of 'cabin' access in/out

So following the LEGACY  model... and with DEFENDER having some more of my hard-earned retirement dollars...(but worth the investment!)
We reinforced the aft pulpit mounting bolts then added a SS 7/8" tube across this with a slider
to attached the mainsheet 3-1 block, and by adding two sliders on each side of this main one
we then created a  'traveler' on this tube (our memory of our Victoria 18 arrangement applied)

Since there was not safety lines from bow pulpit to aft pulpit, but there was a stanchion at midship, we again used SS 7/8" tubing to create a great resting from this stanchion to the forward portion of the aft pulpit.
Now covering this tube with "swimming pool" noodles (perfect 7/8" diameter holed tube) we can later cover the noodles with sunbrella canvas...
so
she is happy...she can lean against the cabin, keep one hand on the appropriate head sail sheet, and still sip her adult beverage...or even 'rest her eyes' while the other sailor deals with the main and headsail sheets
or we can change places
