Dove16

Hey there.  I'm checking in as the new owner of a '76 Com-pac 16 named Dove.  She is a fixer upper for sure, but we did get her out on the water yesterday for an inaugural sail in some light wind.  I'm grateful to find this community of active and knowledgeable people.  I am sure there will be a barrage of questions as I try to figure the girl out and get her back in shipshape.  It has already been helpful searching through old posts in anticipation of replacing a bent tabernacle.

I've spent a couple of years sailing, but not much time fixing or rigging.  All my experience has been on a sunfish and a Flying Scot that a friend had moored down in North Carolina.  Dove is the first sailboat I've owned and so far she seems to be the perfect little boat for our little family to tool around on the lakes up here Northern Minnesota.

Now to head over to the CP-16 forum to see if I can start sorting out a couple of questions there.

Welcome to the ComPac family of sailors.  I'm sure that you will enjoy your CP-16 as much as the rest of us enjoy the ComPac line of boats.
