I've seen pictures with four adults in the cockpit in calm conditions and it was still resting on it's marks. It would be cozy though, I would think.

The only information I could find for you... displacement is 1,000 lbs. and mast height above water is 22 ft., per Hutchins Co. specs.

1000 lbs no motor, no trailer sounds right. You could probably fit 4 in the cockpit for day sails (I've had 3 adults no problem), but it would be tight. Would be more comfy with 2 adults and 2 smallish kids.

However, there is only max 2 sleeping spots on a Legacy in the quarter berths. There's no V-berths as there are bulkheads there. Even then it's really tight- think pup tent size.

My trailer is a single axle (no brakes) MagicTilt I got from the factory. Contrary to the name, it does not tilt, but the low profile makes for easy launching of the Legacy at ramps. Maybe the 1450 lbs you have is for the boat and trailer?  That's about right. When I bought the boat and trailer, I first towed it with a Nissan Altima, and it was fine. However, I since bought an AWD Ford Escape, and is easy towing them-no problems.   Mast is easy to put up with a single person, as it's light and short without any backstay.

I put my boat inside a 2 standard car garage diagonally across the width. It barely fits lengthwise on the trailer. I have only about 2" clearance under the garage doors, but it goes in.

I think 1450 dry weight with trailer is about right. I checked when I bought my boat because in Oregon I don't have to license a trailer until it reaches 1,800 lbs gross weight.

Thx for your inputs.

But i think it's strange that the Com-pac site doesn't publish this information, every car site has them !!!

Even my Saturn inflatable has a capacity plate on the transom with max Nb of people, max load, max outboard HP .

Call the factory.  The Hutchins are very friendly, and they may be the ones that answer the phone.  I bet they will have all the info you need and more.
