I think you have a problem with the software - there is no way I can log in. I can't use the name I registered with, JohnS, because it is reserving that for me when I get my verification email, which never arrives. Catch 22 springs to mind!

Outside of the usual glitches that may occur in the ether world, the only reason I can see for the email not arriving is if your address doesn't work. 

Try it again and if it doesn't work, send me an email through the site and I'll work with you to get you aboard.
