Just bought a 1981 Compac 23. Years ago I owned a CP 16 and later a CP 19 so now it's time for a 23.  I'm planning to take it to Penobscot Bay this August. I'm sure I'll be asking questions here about getting her ready, but first I have to get it home.

If you know of a trailer for sale within 500 miles of Atlanta, please let me know.

Not sure what your budget is, but you may want to check out a new aluminum trailer.  It may cost less than you think.

Could also check with Compac to see where they are getting their trailers these days.

I just bought a new trailer for my CP27 at Sailtrailers in Columbus GA.  They will build a trailer with the options to your specs, and mine was as cheap or cheaper than reconditioning a used trailer (brakes, tires, bearings).  http://www.sailtrailers.com/   There's a thread in the CP27 section of the forum with pictures.  http://cpyoa.geekworkshosting.com/forum/index.php?topic=10059.0

Mike,

My wife and I love sailing Penobscot Bay.  We've sailed in a CP 19, a CP 23, and now a CP 25.  We're planning to go in June to sail from Rockland to Rogue Island.  It's a WONDERFUL place to sail with lots of gunk holes to tuck into.  Have a BLAST.
