This is the lower one - rotting at the bottom.  I havent done anything like this before, but it seems like if I get the right wood, trace the old one, cut it out and stain/seal /varnish correctly, shouldnt be too hard?   Any suggestions are welcome, including where to get the wood.

I am thinking its going to be hard to match the wood color of the top one, not too fussy about that. The top one is in good shape and is vented so not going to replace that.

Thanks - and prayers that my boat gets through the blow here tonight on Pine Island, FL are appreciated. Our docks are not floating and take quite a  beating across our half mile pond when the wind blows south. Hopefully this goes west soon enough.  Gale force gusts are forecast tonight. All lines are double but hard to keep adjusted when the tide is super high.

I think your plan will work. I haven't done that exact thing, but I have done this:  When I had a 3 part hatchway on my Precision 21, I took the measurements, and cut 3 new ones out of lexan. I did the same slant for the joints. Anyway, I found I could put any combination of these two types into the slot, and they worked fine.
