couple of things------i would like to have your opinions on the "chasing the jug" race  and a possible night sail.  the Chasing the Jug would entail every boat providing 25 or 30 feet of line and a large fabric softener jug (or maybe just a large balloon. the idea being to start with the boats spread out and at the blast of an airhorn each sailor attempts to "capture" another boats jug. if the balloon idea is used then the boat with the balloon still intact is the winner. this would take place over a set time frame. if this is a lame idea ( i have been known to have a few) then please let me know. in regards to the night sail. we have had one in the past and it was fantastic. it would not have to be all the boats as im sure the larger boats could take on a couple of passengers. i dont think the authorities on carlyle lake care about a steaming light just regular nav lights. give me pros and cons and know that you wont hurt my feelings (i have been told i have none).

I like the idea of capturing the other boat's women!!!!

Greene

Do we have to tow them 25' behind the boat too Bob?

Hmm..good point, Mike. I think the women would be allowed on board. We are gentlemen here after all, are we not?

I'm thinking the contest should involve soaking Kicknbug with high powered water cannons with exact timing as a group, for maximum laughter, I mean effectiveness.  Disqualification if you get his Admiral, Sarah, wet--that would be unsportsmanlike.   It will be sort of like hitting those moving ducks at carnivals, but a whole lot funnier.  Judging will be based on number of hits and volume of water on the target.

Kick, that pink  "Beer Drinkers and Sail Raisers"  t-shirt will be mandatory for best aim, if you could wear it that day, I'm sure all the sharpshooters would appreciate it!

To make this more challenging, kick should equip his boat as such:

im thinking about a rope around the neck but i sense objections to that. and no , carl, no pellet guns. the water cannon idea has merit. one would have to catch me to shoot me. Bob with his boat hook cannon would have a distinct advantage. what was that 800 psi? on a serious note yea or nay on the chasing the jug idea. also the night sail (which can be extremely cool

great we will try to work it in weather permitting. very surreal if you havent done it before. anyone interested in the "capture the jug" race-----bring about 30 feet of line (cheap clothesline will work) , a large brightly colored fabric softener jug and a cheap carbiner clip.  the most captured jugs wins. i would like to at least give this a try and see how it works out. we might just have sailors just touch the opponents jug (dont say it Carl) and rely on the honor system.

Bob23

Ahhh...touching the opponents jug???? I thought this was a family show!!! I like the honor system. As a crooked New Jerseyan, that gives me the freedom to cheat!!!
Tell me, what does one win when one touches the most jugs?? If we capture them, can we keep 'em???

thanks bob!

remember, one must be patient when attempting to "capture another one's jugs".

i find it best to spend some "quality time" with that person.  maybe buy that person dinner.  a few drinks always helps.

when one does go for the capture, make sure you're gentle.  it makes the person who's jug is being captured more at ease.

they may even let you have their jug with little or no resistance!

Thanks for the advice, Carl. I see you are a veteran. This explains my lack of success...

you know if i would have said "balloons" im sure i would have gotten the same response, Should we make it "bursting balloons"?

Kick, next time gallon BOUY might be more appropriate terminology for the lesser minds of our bawdry group of cohorts.  Bob & Carl should be ashamed of themselves!

......Nah!
