I want to sell my 1994 Compac 23/3.  It is in the water at Lake Norman near Davidson, North Carolina.  I plan to get it out of the water and put it on the trailer.  The trailer needs new tires which I will buy as soon as I get back from California around the 9th of March.  The motor was new last year.  (Tohatsu Sail Pro 6hp which I have run less than an hour.)  The running rigging was changed two years ago.  The sails were refurbished two years ago.  The rudder is a high performance foil blade.  In addition to the main and jib I have a genoa and two whisker poles.  I am looking for $4,000 and that includes the Sail Pro motor which was about $1,200 new.

I'll take it.

The original buyer backed out.  The hull below the waterline has blisters.  (I didn't know that until the boat was out of the water.)  The repair yard said that it would cost $4,000 to fix them OR I could leave them and the boat would be fine for another 20 years.  According to the boat yard, blisters are cosmetic and are not structural.  He said I should give the hull a bottom coat and let it go.  You can debate that among yourselves.  I AM NOT A BOAT EXPERT.  I am just repeating what he told me.  So now the boat is out of the water on the trailer sitting in a storage lot in Concord.

The boat has been taken out of the water and professionally prepared for transport. ($600)  The Sail Pro motor cost me $1,499.  (I checked.  My earlier price was wrong.)  The trailer has 4 new tires that cost $300 and I rewired it.  The trailer's surge brake does not work so you will need a large vehicle to pull it.  I will let the boat/motor/trailer go for $2,000 but I will not dicker on the price.  Anything lower and I will give the boat/trailer to charity and sell the motor on flea-bay.

I am not trying to be a grump.  I'm just tired of messing with this boat.  (Old age will do that to you.)

I am interested...pictures would help though. Also, Hank-on or roller-furled jib?

Thx.

I have pictures of the boat in the water.  I will take some pictures of the boat on the trailer this weekend.

The jib and genoa are both hank on.

I am also interested. Let me know if it is still available and when I could possible come see it.
