Coax through the deck

I have a coax connector that sits on the deck by the  mast for the mast-mounted antenna. It is pretty corroded and needs changing.

I found this kit:  http://www.amazon.com/Glomex-stainless-steel-coaxial-RA105/dp/B002XCSK4Q/ref=pd_sim_sbs_200_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=51v2%2B6zKhxL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=13PFKR024TZH0Y2XATKD

I note there is no cap for when the cable connector is empty. I suppose I could order a second female connector and just waterproof it and use it for a cap.

I have thought about just getting a deck gland and having a cable come out to connect to the other cable but that would be exposed when sitting on the trailer as well.

Anybody have a different/better strategy?

Here's a link to the CableClam from Blue Sea Systems, works great for coax cables because it doesn't slip over the ends of the cable, so you can install it with the cable ends in place:

I've installed several of them over the years, and they work well.  I believe they come in at least two different sizes.

I just ran coax for my VHF that I am adding.  I never had a house VHF on my boat before.  I ended up using one of these for the deck pass through.  http://store.hamiltonmarine.com/browse.cfm/fitting-cable-feed-thru-rg8x-cable-5-16-144825/4,8243.html?gclid=COfP0vGf3MoCFceQHwodvWEDxw

Same one I used.  Five years no leaks or any other problems.
