New post, email notification?

Hi. Is there a way for me to get an email notification when new messages are posted?. I get some email notifications now, but they are not for all new posts. They seem sort of random..

never mind, i found it on my own

there is a NOTIFY button on posts that when pushed will send you notifications ....
