Mounting iPad in cockpit

Anyone have good solutions for this?  I searched the forum and found some posts and photos of swing arms mounted inside the cabin that would let you view a tablet from the cockpit.  But I'm interested in mounting it somewhere in the cockpit proper, farther aft, so I can steer with one hand and manipulate the iPad with one hand.   Any suggestions?

Have thought about using an iPad as well but went with a traditional CP on a swing arm as you have described. Will be using iNav on my iPhone in waterproof case as a back up. the reason for the CP rather than the iPad were twofold:

1. really hard to see the iPads or phones in bright light  (I also like to wear polarized glasses on the water, which makes the screens really hard to see)
2. actually have had the touch screen cause position changes in hard rain. Go figure the rain will activate the touch feature.

Maybe an sheet bag or the like that you can stow it in close by and not bother with a permanent mount?

Used a Ram mount for the Chart Plotter, works well. Mounted on port bulkhead just inside companionway.

What wou you mount it to?  You can go to the RAM mount page.  All kinds of options.
